GREAT DAY FOR THE METRO!

While it may have seemed like a cold and dreary day, it was a bright day for the future of Omaha and Council Bluffs cyclists. Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey, shown above, shovels dirt in the ceremonial ground breaking this morning on the Omaha river front. The bicycle and pedestrian bridge, pictured above, is scheduled to be done by November 2008. We were proud to represent at this mornings activities. Nice to see the city government starting to support a community in motion!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Lot's of options this weekend

Another big weekend is on the books here in good 'ole Omaha. First up is the Ride the Best Demo Tour over at Lake Manawa State Park on Saturday. Ken and Steve will have the latest Trek, Fisher and Lemond bikes on site and ready to ride.

If racing's your thing, then come out to the opening round of the Nebraska Cyclocross series at Swanson Park in Bellevue. Your's truely helped design the course and I'm pretty psyched about it. If you've never seen cyclocross before you have to come and watch. It's great for spectating. Our buddies from the Trek Store in KC are coming up with their super pit set up (pictured above). Racing is Saturday and Sunday so come on out.

Breast Cancer Awareness Ride

Over $1400 were raised for the Breast Cancer Reasearch Foundation today. We had over 50 people for the first annual Breast Cancer Awareness Ride. Riders of all ages enjoyed a nice, but chilly, spin up the Keystone trail before heading back to the shop for coffee and cinnamon rolls.

All the staff would like to thank everyone that participated in the ride. We had more riders than any other shop in the nation!

Shirts, jerseys and arm warmers will be on sale throughout the month. A portion of the sales of these items goes towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
