Spin class veterans know that when the daylight hours get short and the weather turns chilly, jumping into a spin class is a great way to stay fit.

Service/maintenance classes on tap

Starting in November, we'll offer free classes on do-it-yourself bike maintenance. Each Saturday-morning session will begin at 10 and last approximately one hour.

The schedule:

Nov. 7 - Ladies' flat-tire changing
Nov. 14 - Open flat-tire changing
Nov. 21 - Ladies' drivetrain
Nov. 28 - Open drivetrain
Dec. 5 - Open brakes
Dec. 12 - Open derailleur
Dec. 19 - Ladies' flat-tire changing

-- For flat-repair classes, bring your own front wheel, along with tire levers and a pump (if you have them).
-- Drivetrain classes will cover basic chain/cassette/chainring checking and cleaning.

Space is limited (6 to 7 per class), so pre-registration is required. Contact Jake (jake@trekomaha.com) to sign up.

Falling back

We've moved to our Fall/Winter hours. Starting immediately, they are as follows:

Monday - Thursday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m.
