Dan's Cervelo Soloist SLC-SL

We've been pretty lucky lately, having mulitple opportunities to build some pretty sweet rides. Dan's Cervelo has been an ongoing project for month's now. It's rideable but not quite complete. The CSC edition frame, compliments of Highgear, is an amazing piece of engineering artistry.

Couple that with full Shimano Dura-Ace, FSA carbon bar and stem, Zipp 404 powertap wheels and you have one serious pro peloton worthy machine.

The fine details will be trimmed out later this week with Zipp carbon waterbottle cages and Vision Tech clip-on bars, Arione TT saddle and 76 degree seatpost for races against the clock.

Road Ride Gear To Remember

Now that the hot Summer days are upon us and road rides like the MS 150 and RAGBRAI are right around the corner, it's time to think about a few last minute things you may be forgetting. So to help you out, we’ve put together a list of the Top 5 things you’ll need to make your next road bike trip more enjoyable.

#5 Tune-Up $49.99-$99.99

It’s always good to start fresh on a long ride. This means resting your body as well as getting your bike looked at to make sure everything is running smoothly. We guarantee a 72 hour turnaround time to get you back on the road as soon as possible.

#4 Flat Kit $3.99-$27.99

A solid flat kit that includes a spare tube, tire levers, pump (Co2 saves weight), and multi-tool will give you the piece of mind of knowing you won’t be stuck out in the middle of nowhere (vultures can be ruthless).

#3 Clothing/Gear

With Nebraska and Iowa weather the way it is, you should know that a variety of conditions need to be accounted for. The right gear can make all the difference between a fun ride and a disaster. BRAN riders know first hand that 60 miles of riding in the pouring rain is no fun, so rain gear is something you should strongly consider. Other things to think about would be…
· Extra Gloves
· Sunglasses
· Short-Sleeve Jerseys
· Sun Screen

#2 Ride Nutrition $1.39-$42.99

Using the proper nutritional supplements during a your ride will help to keep you hydrated, repair muscle damage, and give you the energy you need to finish your ride strong. We currently stock the following lines…
· GU
· Accelerade
· Endurox
· Cliff
· Cytomax
· Powerbar
· Camelbak (new Elixir)
· Hammer

#1 Chamois Butt’r $14.99

No explanation needed…

Swing on into the shop to pick up what you're missing today, and most importantly...HAVE FUN ON YOUR RIDE!

Felt DA Speed Machine

Here's a glimpse of Fred's new stealth ride. Explicitly designed for Ironman Germany, he's now armed and ready for his european assault. Fred picked up the frame from our brothers in Kansas City. Acceleration duties are handled by SRAM Force along with Shimano compact hollowtech II cranks. Decceleration by Zero Gravity and SRAM. Throw in some Zipp and Vision tech speed goodies and you come up with a 100 mile killer.

Not much frontal area here. The only wind drag will be Fred and from what I've seen, he's looking pretty svelte (or is it sFELTe) these days!

At Trek Omaha we believe that we have a bike for every type of rider. From the pro athlete to the causal rider, there is a quality bike in our shop for you. New Arrival: SRAM speed gear

SRAM is getting ready to launch it's new bar end shifters and brake levers. We were able to pull some strings and get one of the first pairs available. These little beauties are going on Fred's new Felt DA that he picked up from our KC store. Then he's off to Ironman Germany.

The shifters have a very positive feel and SRAM's 1:1 shift ratio is clean and crisp. The brake levers weigh next to nothing and the cable runs through the mounting bolt directly inside the handlebar, no exposed cable housing! Pics of Fred's new ride, coming soon.

New Arrival: 2008 Trek Madone

After 2 years and 40 designers, engineers, and scientists totally dedicated to the project doing countless prototype runs, the completely redesigned Madone is here and in stock.

The combination of two key values "No Constraints" and "No Compromises" went into each process and design. What this equates out to is a revolution in the way Trek road bikes are designed.

Below are just a few of the improved design features you can find on a new Madone.
The first ever carbon steer tube on an all new lighter weight carbon fork. The carbon steer tube itself saves 100 grams over other aluminum versions.

By using the one piece carbon tube and fork, less material is needed to ultimately create a lighter and stronger fork design.

The Madone's new integrated bottom bracket is 40 grams lighter than traditional designs, has the industry's widest BB/downtube junction, and has a 48% increase in lateral downtube stiffness.

Adaptor kits are available for Bontrager, SRAM, Shimano, FSA, and Campy cranks.

To see these features and more, including the first ever fully adjustable no-cut seat mast, come check out the new Madones at Trek Omaha today.

Note: Do you want to take out a "New" Madone for an extended test ride? Then mark your calendar for the weekend of June 30th-July 1st and join us at Swanson park in Bellevue for Trek's Ride the Best demo. Over 20 new Madone's will be on site and available for FREE test rides. Don't miss this once a year opportunity!
